Learn how to download the FreeBSD ports directories from the internet. The FreeBSD ports allows you to easily install 1000's of programs on your system

1. These instructions describes how to download the ports post installation using sysinstall

   [root]# /stand/sysinstall

Scroll down and select Configure, press Enter.
Scroll down and select Distributions, press Enter.
Scroll down to ports, press Space.
Scroll up to Exit, press Enter.
Select your desired installation media, such as CDROM, FTP, and so on.
Scroll up to Exit and press Enter.
Press X to exit sysinstall.

Now you can install any of the ports just by going to the directory and typing make && make install && make clean
